thanks dez
Better not be not a track car. Jesus!!!
LOL Al, i saw you the other day. your car is looking pretty smick all nice and cleaned up :)
p.s. i only just realised they are hauling a fujitsubo exhaust in through the passenger window LOL
wonder if they make fujitsubo powergetters for the fd's yet - i would have bought that over the J's 60rs.
My mates FD2R on 18x9 Miesters
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ngMeister1.jpg
^^^^^^ lucky im still down!!!!! Holy shiiiiiiiiiit.
Dez -do you still have the FD in the family?
Pretty hard to get dish on an FD2R.
Factory wheel is a 18x7.5 +60
Those are 18x9 +40 (if memory serves)
So effectively the lip of the rim on those sit ~39mm further out than factory and requires 3° of camber in the rear.
oh ok.. thats weird o.O never knew the factory offset was +60
guess standard FDs are made to be stanced compared to the FD2R... Although i thought FD2R had bigger guards.. Really confused atm lol.
[QUOTE=jprak;3555510]saw 3x white FD's in cabra area 1 with RR front and stock rear and another with mugen kit. anyone here? besides itachi's fd
sorry about the lag, finally got to film the brake light. bad camera (iphone 4)
PRobably my FD2 with type R kit to it, i do drive arnd cabra sometimes
The reason the FD2R has such high offset is to improve handling.
With high offset you gain a negative scrub radius which in turn decreases torque steer and improves stability.
S2000 is also another honda that has a +60 offset from factory.
How many km's do your fd's have? i think mines a bit high
29k on mine.
What do you call high?
34k, bought it brand new last year Feb.
bought mine last yr (june) 65k 08 Model
currently on 102k
2006 70 bought with 40. Maybe 3 years ago.
i got my second hand this year, 07 model with 56k on the clock atm.
That's low. Mines an 08 with 70k km
i had an 08 since new and it had 50k on the dot when i sold it in september
mine was bought new in may 2010. Its got 19.5k or so atm
Brought mine in April with 21.5k on it. Was one of the first batch from 2007
got my debadged by my panel beater today....cost me for free ;D
he also did the paint job on my kit and all. (Y)

55km bought new in october 2007... demodifying my car.. selling my parts soon
^hey johnny could you pm me the list of items you're selling? =)
Should i go FD2R front or keep the mugen....
fd2r front... i would have done it in a heartbeat lol
+ mugen lip o m f g
the type r lip?
... japanparts.com / kingmotorsports.com / k-playground.ca (redirection service required, also its fibreglass) / random malaysian vendors (found through http://eightgc2.forumup.com/)
The authentic mugen one is ABS .. the only issue is then is if you get a replica type r front bumper how well will it fit, I've seen photos on the malaysian civic forum where they have one which fits the face lifted front end (definitely a replica).
The authentic one could end up costing you about all up $900.
i wanted type R front with J's lip....sighs!!!
bro went singapore 2 weeks ago...IF only he was into cars and shit. would of asked to ship back some stuff for my car :L
google rstyle racing
they have a shit load of like everything for the fd
2011 Vti, 77,000km, 10 track days, 3 set of tyres (got R888 for the track now), onto my 4th set of brake pads, 3rd set of rotors to go on over summer, 14 oil changes.....thank god this a work car !! lol
Picked up a an old Racetech RT4000 to slip in for trackdays, none of this comfy Recaro shit.

Haha not a Racecar, more like a slow moving white sohc that thinks its one !
oh no....i had to click on the site
lol sorry in advance to ur bank accounts
i have ordered from there, from memory, postage was reasonable (i only ordered a CF grille tho so pretty small and light). reasonably fast too and well packaged but this was like a good 2.5 years ago
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to black8thgen again.
I've got a spare set of FD red badges (front and rear) that I'm looking to offload if anyone is keen... -> http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Honda-Civ...item3a7bba139a
Rsstyle group buy? I have had my eye on a few things for a while.
If people are keen to do it let's cut shipping down and order a bulk lot.
Is the rstyle site your talking about the Thai one???
I'm down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lmao u guys got high k's
my mum just sold the fd i used to drive
at 40000k's
yeah the thai one - group buy would be hugely advantageous in terms of shipping costs haha..
the BIGGEST and probably only problem with buying from these guys is they speak next to no english.. so it can get frustrating (also relatively slow replies). Hopefully for everyone's sake they've had some english practise over the past couple years and are now ready to converse in unbroken english
Duffy I'm keen. I want the RR front :)
damn...if i knew this was gona happen i would of cancelled my summer course == now i dont have money atm lol...
i want the ings+1 front!
also for bigger items - you may be facing import duties and taxes etc - which the site obviously cannot quantify for you
Import duties are imposed on shipments over $1000AUD.
Only way around it was would be split shipments and possibly dodgy invoice amounts to avoid duties.
Still is a thought.
*palate of stuff comes in to the dock*
front bumper - $20 dorrar
lip - $5 dorrar
etc.
Definitely get through
That's the only way to avoid it lol

Picked me some up today.
what are u using tamiya paints for? i use them for gundam kits...
Ive used that Tamiya one brushed onto indicators
very robust, lasted about 5years now with no fade
cant go wrong with jdm hobby paint
looks good man!
stands out rather nicely.
You must spread some around before giving it to your mumma again.
"Thats that shit I do like!"
