No need to roll ur guards man, unless ur running hectic offsets like +30 or even +25 or running wide rims, or combo of both, than id just keep that money for petrol or for a rainy day :)

that's a shame, sounded like some nice genuine mods to that car :(
not worth it getting it too low if not practical depending where you drive or get adjustable I guess (I still think adjustable coilovers are overkill purely for a street car, but that's just my opinion) - depends on your application (street/track) how much you want to spend and what kind of ride comfort you want - don't want to spend all that money and make the ride crap that your dash rattles everywhere

thats the rear bumper, sexy hey?
yeah, its name was caspar, wish it was still around so i could nick some parts off it like the dual tip remus catback it had :P Yeah im thinking of getting kings like mugen ctr has, rims are 17x7 not sure what the tyre width is though, ill see how it sits tomorrow i guess, but yeah ill save my money for now haha
still got $400 left on my insurance, feken hell just remmebered hahahaha
i dont like the feel of the king springs on my ek its to bumpy or maybe its just my shocks but i like the height of it and also noticed iv got a natural camber ^^
Oh gee - looks like it had the full Mugen kit - wow. Never ever seen one of them around Oz before and even 'Spoon' number plate and spoiler I'm guessing... wish people would do more of those mods in Oz but guess it's not like the US with parts just being so damn expensive here. Was a nice car there mate :)
Keep us posted re: new rims
It can definitely work with lips/spoilers :) I mean I've done that to my car with Si badges and I've tried to give it the respect the badge and the brand deserves.
I guess what he might have been saying was a stock Honda with a CTR badge doesn't really do justice to the brand 'Type R'
genuine has nothing to do with this.
reason why i said he could put it on was for the looks not to try and claim that its a EK9.....
Also kyzz you have the facelift Civic you wont be able to fit the same front lip as Alvis.
I dont think the lips for the facelift models are as low
yeah i know i cant fit the preface, dont think i will put a front lip on anyways
took her through some sweeping corners on drive back from Sydney
beat the tar out of it,
I only don't like the type r badges when theyre on coupes, any hatch looks ok with them
agreed........... AND i think i speak for all those whos opinion are that non type-R honda's shouldnt wear a type R, theres a reason why its called a type R from the factory, its not the motor, nor the suspension, nor the badge itself, its the whole package, everything from the stiffened chassis to the interior, is what makes it what it is, and i highly appreciate what a real type-R is :)
putting a typeR badge on a non-typeR hatchback is like putting a chevy badge on your ss commodore, putting a typeR badge on a coupe is like putting a chevy badge on your V6 commodore.
Lame and super lame.
are we talking about just the Type R H badge now or the actual Type R badge.
i honestly dont think its as bad as putting a chevy badge on a holden as the badge is still a honda badge rather than putting a random badge on your holden
Again I'll refer you to Sangys EK1,
He went to the trouble of doing all OEM, B18C engine swap, EK9 Bonnet, EK9 Front Bar, EK9 Front Grille, EK9 Headlights, EK9 Taillights, EK9 Rear Bar, EK9 front and rear lips, EK9 5-lug Conversion, EK9 Rims, More recently rear swaybar.
Basically it is a full EK9 only difference is it started life as an EK1. If that doesn't deserve to wear the red badge, nothing does!!!!
He earned his red badge, just like I plan to earn my Si badges.
haha yeah back on topic:
moved the car from the front to the back, loaded my new wheels in the back, drove it back down the front and now its ready for my bro to take it to goodyear tomorrow and get them on and balanced whilst im at schoool. GEEEEEEEEEED
Fkn hell kids
people can put whatever badge they want on whatever car of their's they want
If you don't like it, come at them bro (with a dirty rusty screwdriver) and debage their car's yourself
Otherwise stfu and respect personal preference
Lol not to be stirring the pot, but the Chev badge isnt random on a Holden, who do you think owns Holden? :P
Putting a red H badge on your car make you look stupid. Unless your car is compatible to a type r. As in performance/looks etc. Clearly you did earn it
who cares, peoples tastes are diffrent its like saying roof racks or no roof racks, hellaflush or fuctional.
its a free world.
you can always lol on the inside if it looks funny to you or towards the "so called ricers"
ok now post what you did!
Fixed up roof racks + gave her a nice wash in the cold wind
General Motors is the home to Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC vehicles. So in fact its very similar to swapping badges :)
No you have not hahha
new kicks.

Why 17? Too big for hatch. And need to lower it.
because they were cheap as, looks mean and yeah i need to drop it an inch or so.
Any plans for performance wise?
only simple stuff, CAI and thats about it.. if i wanted a fast car i would have bought one
i kinda understand where these guys are coming from, its like putting a GTR badge on a GTST.
But then again were not talking about the Type R sticker just the H.
Anyways im over that part.
Got OEM visors in a couple of days ago
i can back up my badge though :p
not according to some people sang "if its not from the factory then it shouldn't have that badge"
lol nah i dont care ! my aim was to replicate my fav car and ive done so. :]
yep. its a badge. who gives a toss. life is too short !
got some better photos of the wheels and the muffler

finally changed my fuel filter :D
V-power is fine man, but stick to the one brand from now on, each brand, such as BP may have different blend of fuels, but still equate to 98 octane, which when blended with others, may not be the best idea, fuels ain fuels ;)
I find V-power isnt as great, get less mileage from a full tank of fuel
For me, BP is the only readily available fuel so BP 98 all the way :D
just replaced left ek9 brake light bulb.. newer bulb = bigger glow = bigger then my old right bulb = slightly uneven = me being unhappy and having to buy another one
Today installed the front grill on the civic and changed the engine oil, break fluids, clutch fluids and gear box oil. cbf installing the wire for the fog lights today but tomorrow installing the BC coilover. cant wait :) ohh and cleaned the air filter.
oh nice. get alot of discount? trying to look for a ipod... special deals at all? :P
yea haha we get a fair bit, what i'm buying bundled is 1050 bucks worth, after discount it comes to $501. on ipods unfortunately not, not much profit in them... only like 20 bucks
So keep your eyes open for my buys in the next few days
V-Power has nicer additives, I get longer k's with it, 600+ to a tank in my coupe
off to find disc brake conversion set, pretty sure the engineer will want to see them
its been almost 6 months now since i done the conversion, no problems at all, pads are all fine and the rotors, no cracks at all, but other wise, the RTA bushes are starting to show signs of wear, small cracks or so, gonna replace them soon
For a peace of mind, should probs machine the rotors and get fresh pads, and also check the wheel bearing as u dont wanna b tearing down the hub months later down the track just to replace the bearing, and also the RTA bushes
And hopefully, by the end of the year gonna go 282mm rotors an Ek9 calipers :D
Did this:

Sedan door pillars were getting a bit scratched up. Only did drivers side because I'm lazy.
Ghetto painted my 14" steelies, looks totally pimpin.
cleaned and vacuumed SR3s + stock seats I pulled out a couple of weeks back (had like weird sheepskin stuff on them from covers, but nothing a little upholstery cleaner couldn't fix :))
Also weighed stock EK1 seat = 14.5kg with rails (approx.) This is about 4kg lighter than an SR3. I'd say the majority of the extra weight is in the heavier EK9 rails.
Recaro SR3 = 18.5kg with EK9 rails (approx.)
race seats sometimes are generally heavier as their gains out weight them being heavier
compared to the stock ej8 seats I had, if the sr3s weighed 5kgs more it wouldnt matter, I'd just shave it off somewhere else as their benefits are worth it, being rebuildable also plays a huge factor
5 stud
Attempted the DIY CF film cluster with some 3M DI-NOC film.
I got a reasonable result, but I think I am just gunna order one off JDM Concept anyways.
Car needs a wash.
was witness to the assault of a young lady last night in my car.
Just came out of Novotel Wollongong after having coffee with friends and my cousins gf saw a girl with a guy over the top off her pushing her down on the ground of the car park, screaming at her - telling her if she hits him back he'll hit her back wrose, putting his hands around her neck - I couldn't see cause had reading glasses on so changed to driving glasses, dialled triple zero, reported location and requested immediate help.
Then the girl got up and walked away and the guy went in the other direction (lost sight of him behind the trees), and it looked as though she got her phone out to call a friend and that was the end of it; then the guy came running across the carpark and bailed her up on a tree - I lost sight of them behind a car in the carpark, and at this point I could here her screaming and yelling - so while still on the phone to the cops I got my 12 or so inch maglite torch out from under the drivers seat to go and see if could help (they're probably about 30 metres away at this point) and as I was going over, thank God for late night car meets - 4 or 5 car loads of modified cars with about 15 or so guys came past (they could see what was going as well from where they were) and got him the **** off her.
Left the details with the cops so see what happens - she had a few cuts on her lip and the poor thing was so shaken up - she must have been no taller than 5 foot four and weighing no more than 50kg. Apparently she'd been in the r/ship with the guy for 3 years.
pretty sad...
