its really up to u though..if u have the money to tow it .. then to be on the safe side tow it but then if u been driving liek this for a while now.. then might aswell drive it there
could replacement of wheel bearing + labour be expensive
im not sure but i got qouted 70bux an hr for labour think thats avg price. wheel bearing u gotta ask some1 else
I actually have a similar problem. Dont mean to hijack the thread... sorry.
When I'm going at 60km/h (not so much at higher and lower speeds) there's a flapping sound from the rear of my car. Sounds a bit like left-rear but I haven't yet investigated thoroughly. It started on the way back from a rally a couple of weeks ago, so it's quite likely to be something to do with the loose gravel I was driving on. The sound is a constant flapping sound more than a ticking. Had a look under the car and there's nothing loose down there that I could see. Might take the wheel off and have a better look. Any idea what I'd be looking for?
Other than the sound, everything is 100% so I'm not too concerned.
its a bomb! ...... lol
you could do your wheel bearings yourself. I rem when i did mine i got quoted $350 as the bearings for Honda's are expensive. You could do it yourself. Or i'm sure there would be some OZH members who would do it for you for a small fee.
but first get its diaignosed don't get something fixed that is not broken!
my car made that noise when i had a split CV joint and the grease was coming out.
once i got it fixed it never made the noise again
ok thought i do my follow up post.
went mechanic and got prob checked out.
driveshaft broken and left wheel bearing. had it all fixed
now its fine
but im broke :(
Ouchie, well it seems my flapping/ticking has gone away so somehow I must've unknowingly defused the bomb.
errr.. check if all your wheel nuts are tighten..
a friend of mine have similar problems 2 days ago, and we fixed it by tighten all nuts..
