u can get spoon headers through tanghy or hondar, they have to get it from japan so there is a wait.
they cost about a $1000 maybe a little more (cant remeber).
bbc03 - do you mean custom make a copy of the spoon headers or a tuned length set of headers here?
Pete :)
$1000 for headers??? wow..... anyway, what i meant was getting a tuned length set of stainless headers...but then i could easily make a copy of the spoon as well cost half of it i guess but change it to 421
which one do u think is better?
actually is $1180
custom one depends where u go and may cost heaps
i ordered from jdmyard
hm... i prefer 4-2-1 but 4-1 will do for me since th length is not that long anyway
custom work vs spoon or mugen.... i have no idea but u pay for u pay for .... maybe right maybe wrong
lol
all depends on yr wallet i think
I think you also have to appreciate the amount of R&D that goes in to the Spoon and Mugen products BBC03. Sure a local exhaust shop can knock something up for you, but it will be a bit of a hit-and-miss affair. VTEC engines are known for being tempremental when you start modding them, so sometimes it is better to spend a bit extra and know that a lot of work has gone in to producing a quality and reliable product.
You might not get huge gains, but you won't be as likely to suffer power losses which seems to happen all too often on vtec equipped engines
