Looks even better on a clean car ;) lol
Edit:
Found another old picture, shows the back window. I think dark tint tie in really well with a dark car.

I would go with 18% it's not that bad to drive at night with it.
When your looking at the legal side of things, don't go below 15% as that is the darkest you can go in regards to the law.
^ how much is that??/
i dunno got it with the car. its reflective tint. and its hot. i put rude fingers up at people behind that and all they can see is their face =D
tint is not as simple as it sounds. not only is there a vlt (visible light transfer) rating eg. darkest legal is 35% but there is also a reflectance rating which the highest legal is 10%. reflectance is how mirror like the tint is. so those ones with mirror tint even tho may have low vlt are ILLEGAL and plain look gay. especially those ones where the top half is mirror and the bottom normal IMO
to add to this there is also different colours too. most see tint as being black but it is not. tint may appear black but is infact usually a very dark blue, brown, green etc. this makes a difference too. i have seen many black cars ruined to my eye with not black tint. they may have got 5% tint but skimped on the quality of the tint and therefore got an inferior green based tint, no offense, like the black accord above. this is my taste but i think it would have looked ALOT better with a pure black tint IMO. pure black tint can often look darker from the outside than other base tints while still having the same VLT.
this topic has been covered many times on OH and other car forums. please search. crowd says 20% is nice and dark but not too over board. 35 is too light and 10 and 5 too dark! i would agree.
here is my car. i did my research and got 3M pure black which has a pure black carbon film to darken it. 20%

the ek had 10% with a green base tint that blended well with the yellow paint and looked black enough. bout the same as my eg with 20% tint.
another thing that people forget is the colour of you interior also affects how dark your tint looks. darker interiors have less light reflected inside the car = darker inside and therefore darker looking tint.
my eg 20% 3M cost $250 for the whole car as a cash job from a mate and the 10% no name stuff on the ek cost $200 from the same guy cash. pay less pay cash no reciept ;) 3M still came with a 10 year waranty too
pm me if interested..... i have a mate that does tinting.... (cheap)
