LoL Phatsol is right...
I've never seen the temp gauge move once the car is warm, no matter how hard u give it.
dc2r can get very hot under the bonnet after a long drive... not to worry, but if ur temp gauge isnt sitting steadily just below the half way mark, then its probably wise to get ur thermostate checked out... =)
like what ECUMAN and ATSE said. check the thermostat.
My DC2R was running at around 20%-30% of the gauge, and it fluctuated if i was just cruising. I got the thermostat changed and after that it was constant at 40% after a few mins of driving.
note: when buying a new thermostat, please get a thermostate with an O-ring just in case the original O-ring is unsable. you might as well change the O-ring at the same time anyway. $59 from Honda (includes O-ring)
I think its been said before that a Honda thermostat is the way to go!
feel any engine after it has been running, it WILL probably burn your hand if you leave it there...Quote:

hmm my temp needle goes to almost cold when im cruising and about 45% when in slow traffic.
hope my thermostat isnt stuffed.:(
get your thormostat cheked or your radiator might be blocked does your temp go down as you drive faster if so it might be the fans as sometimes the temp gauge in not accurate my mates dc2r stays 2 lines above C which i dont think its right.
mine stayed at the coldest point when i'm driving on the highway....guess is broken...am i rite?...hehe
Well durr, ofcourse you will burn your hand. Even on a Mirage (no offence) you will burn your hand.Quote:

i usually rev the crap out of my B16a to 8000 quite regularily and the temp gauge doent ever go past half way.
for peace of mind, go buy a bottle of Redline water wetter - $19. Whack that in the radiator as per instructions :P
