have a look underneath the crx u might actually see the drive shaft popped out and slumped.
I know of this as its happened to me.
sounds like a blown drive shaft, or a clutch failure or even the diff but the only way 2 find out is to pull it appart
Just to add - a failing clutch still would engage (to a degree) thru to the diff and beyond. A failed clutch probably wouldnt get power past the flywheel :)
If it was only failing and not failed, then the car would move.
