Back during the days where I washed the car every 2 weeks, I couldn't really tell a difference (I alternated between Caltex, Shell and Mobil). I think it depends more on how much throttle you use. The heavier the throttle, the richer the A/F mixture will be which will result in excess carbon coming out the back.
BTW, just remembered that I missed your phonecall the other day. Been so busy with work and moving house when not at work. haha. How's things been?
i always use 98 and get about 420km average out of my tank i decided on my last tank to use E10 and try it out i felt no realy differance and still got about 420kms a tank so it tripped me out a little, but that was just an experiment ill stick to the 98 octain
Just in case it's not clear as mud yet: Shell's premium fuel is called V-Power, Vortex is Caltex's premium fuel brand... but of course the poster shortened the reply and just said "shell vortex" right? ;)
They have plenty of vpower here, sometime last year, when they were short on vpower, I went back to vortex. I use vortex when I first got the car, then switch to vpower.
So its either vpower or vortex for me.... but I go for vpower because of coles 4 cents discount and flybuys points.
I shop at woolies and use real rewards, so I use Vortex98. hhahaha
i filled up with this shit today at bp, everything else was out of order, just put it in the civic. i feel so bad for filling up with it~
