there is no way of doing that except getting a heavier pressure plate.
i see, im assuming getting a heavier pressure plate will increase weight and how quick my car will rev up?
correct.
Please tell me you have worn in your clutch before you went and dumped the clutch.
nah i havent dumped once with it yet.. i choose not to after hearing my diff is ass of the world lol. apparently its like a brass button clutch just with ceramic coating making it called something else which i cant remember i think it was coushin button? or something anyway.
cushion button.
I bet its real stiff.....
EDIT: The S2000 diff is hit & miss. Some people run 400+rwhp on a stock diff with no problems. Others run a stock engine, but do a few high rev clutch drops and their diff fails.....
So long as you look after it, it should be sweet.
oh dear god if you hadnt told me that i would be crying everytime something next to me wanted to run me lol.. by real stiff what exactly are you talking about? lol.. as you can tell i probably sound so retarded i dont know everything about cars LOL :(
this may sound weird.. but i dragged an s2000 before my clutch was gone and had a random thought about it just now.. when he changed gears he chirpped (making a small burnout noise dont know what other people call it lol) but what mine does is just spin and throw my ass end to the left real bad.. i kind of did it tonight snapping 1st into 2nd and it had thrown me so much i almost went off the road into grass lol.
but i dont know why mine gets thrown around whilst others chirp? any ideas?
Well heres a short story for ya.
When I first got my S, I did 2 drags from a standing start.
I did exactly as i was supposed to.
Rev to 7K, sidestep the clutch, floor it, all the power goes through your tyres, and you pull for 2nd while about this time, the car is sliding left. The LSD kicks in and your off launching into vtec at about 6000 revs whilst pulling for 2nd gear.
I nailed it perfect; first go.
Second go, got it right again, however not perfect as the car didn't launch straight into vtec as I only dropped it from 6K.
Third go that night...... Did it again..... this time however, I ****ed up..... I didn't sidestep the clutch or something, and all 7000 revs went through my drivetrain instead of through the wheels.... the car bogged down and rattled like crazy, and smelt like shit.
Worst. Sound. Ever.
That was 3yrs ago...... I've never done it since..
Its supposed to slide to the left from like a 5K+ clutch drop... Then the LSD kicks in, zaps you back into a straight line, and away you go. However you also leave a few black lines on the driveway in the process.
lol yeah but whats wrong with theirs if its not lsd'ing?
