if you have payed all the money to put the faster engine in. you would want to make sure it can stop in time. or all that money is down the drain/in the boot of the car infront of you!!!

Well, if your not an idiot on the road and follow the speed limit, there is no reason why you need the extra brake capacity for the streets. Only if you go track racing or do open days, then you might need a bigger brake upgrade. Having said that, i tracked my old car on stock EG Vti brakes (242mm).

to be legal (barely) with the b18c engine you require 262mm fronts and the disc rears.That is , the same sized brakes that came with a car with that engines capacity. IE dc2 vtir or gsi. You can use these ,they are fine for street and casual track use but its advisable to upgrade to the brakes that werdesigned for that particular engine power. IE standard to a DC2R.
