id say youre asking too much from a budget sub and amp.
you probagly had teh gain turned right up, plus bass turned up on your headunit and all it was doing was overpowering the sub
you cant expect quality sound without spending the money.
for example, my old car, my sub cost $1k. it can take 2000watts of power continuosly. i spent $800 on an amp to give it 1100watt RMS. it made your vision blurry, sucked teh air from your lungs, and gave people nose bleeds but it never ever had problems. i could play perfect bass at a level that set off car alarms
point being, low cost gear is always gonna have compromises
-
lols my amps is 1200 watt and the sub is 500w and the bass setting on the head unit is on minus
for example the bass is 0, LMH (L -3) (M 4) ( H 6),
-
but yeah the gain was on max on the amp...
-
you cant just go off "max" figures, they dont mean shit.
you need to go off RMS ratings.
what brand/model are your amp and sub?
-
boss amp says 400x3 watts on it and mtx jack hammer sub is 250 rms
yeah dont know the rms of the amp
-
a jackhammer with a boss amp on max gain.. LOL
that is all.
probably time to upgrade :)
-
400x3? wut?
thatd be 400 max, prob be looking at about 100wrms
-
ok the amp is 400 rms
whatever that is lols
-
get a new amp buddy
just curious, have u got rear seats?
-
lols il just save up for a new system...
or buy new cords and stuff might be the reason
nah man stock ek1 rear seats
-
how the hell did u fit a jackhammer in there?!
we're probably thinkin of different jackhammers..
-
your thinking of the 22inch jackhammer.. LOLS you need a crane to lift that thing
they made a different series jackhammer it is only 12 inch
