Good question Win, thats what Im trying to find out. Peter from Hanny's told me that it should bolt straight on, however he wasn't 100% on the difference in diameter of the two throttle bodies, he thought the B16A could be around 60mm-62mm . We measured the D16 TB, and as mentioned above it was 58mm.
Thanks guys for your help I may attempt to change the TB.
By the way has anyone done this before or heard of someone that has? :D
from what i saw at honda-tech.com it doesnt bolt on to a D16A (ie not D16Y)... (but try anyways - not difficult to remove/attach)
you wont get too many gains from a larger throttle body unless you have already done some modifications that improve airflow.
however - it will make your throttle resoponse *seem* better simply because the intake opening will be larger for every given throttle cable input...
Is the b16a TB tappered?
If I can get hold of a b16a TB I might see if they bolt up.
Can be done. Same stud pattern - just use the bseries MAP sensor ontop - charcol breather pipe fits ok too....Quote:

If you bolt a B16A2 or ITR TB to a D series engine, can you use the D series Map sensor? It shouldn't make a difference should it?
yes, MAP sensor can be shared...
If anyone has a B16A2 or ITR throttle body that they would like to sellthen PM me.

tinkerbell, would one expect gains by boring an ITR TB to say 70mm from 62mm ?
