If you're going to be doing some mild track work I'd suggest the RE001 or the T1R but if you're just going to be mostly driving around on the steets with some entertaining moments then I'd definitely suggest KU31's

$80-100 for KU31's?? damn thats cheap. What size are we talking about here?
Running 195/50/15 RE001 here, good grip in the dry, reasonable in the wet, happy with it. :)
Nice!
That's where Alexx told me to go :)
CHEAP!!!
Toyo Proxies.
I rate them highly, dry/wet all good:-)
i wish toyo still made the trampio vimode, i had them on the rear of my crx, with re001 on the front, vimode has about 50% left on them, re001 has 90%, in the dry if i do a little launch the re001 spins like crazy, but the vimode doesn't, they're japanese made so they're awesome
Federal SuperSteel 595 in 205/45 R16. They were on it when I got it. Or maybe its 205/40? Not gonna go check now. They're OK. Scored average in Motor's latest tyre test.
BTW toyo t1r are awesome in the wet!
Thanks for the comments guys - definitely a lot of choice out there these days... I was thinking of getting the Kumhos but ended up getting a good price on some Michelin Pilot Preceda 2 ($150) 195/50/15.
Grip in the wet seems pretty decent, though they do need to 'scrub' up a bit, they seem just as quite as my old stock 175/65/14 (also Michelin XM1s), and ride feels much more firm and control through corners is much better, just so much more grip which is great - definitely notice the 15mil drop in sidewall height lol :-D
