When cold, the oil is a smaller volume, but all of it is in the sump.
When hot, the oil is expanded to a larger volume, and part of it is in the valvetrain.
So in the end, it will be similar. :)

I know where the level were today on a cold engine,I will check when running temp. 2mozza!
Cold the tranny fluid read full,after being warmed up,it read 1/2 full.
LOL
mine is opposite :S
oh well, as long as theres stil some in there and its not running dry.
