so 45SET, shouldnt you be working :P haha
keep in mind that the ECU brings out the best of your modifications.. i see it as tweaking your mods that you have already.. and bringing out more power out of them..
without mods, if you just buy an ECU, you wont have much to "tune"
i don't mean to steal the thread, but something i've always been curious about with aftermarket ecu's is:
if i have a completely stock motor, with no mods at all, can the car be tuned to put out more power than factory?
Absolutly! An engine is a little on the rich side from factory. Hondas use a Map sensor not Air flow sensor. This is why intake and exhaust mods work so well on a stock motor, as it sees the same pressure/same fuel, but your actually getting better flow and therefore more air in. This is your 'window' that can be tuned for.
thanks man :)
Step 1: Buy K-Pro
Step 2: Fit k-pro and have it tuned
Step 3: Buy your intake, exhaust, headers, intake manifold and throttle body and let them sit in all there shinny JDM glory in a pre-selected room of your house
Step 4: Have parts fitted
Step 5: Get car re-tuned
Step 6: Skidz... either on the street or in your pants :p
I did the intake and exhaust mods before I got my k-pro... but putting k-pro on a stock motor is still worth the money.
