toda is one of the best headers you can get. definetely a good brand.
u want something to give a dc5 a bit of a run?? as far as i know stock vs stock, dc2r is already slightly faster than a dc5r..
in regards to exhausts, i have a fujitsubo rm01a, it is very quiet on idle and low revs and is still loud enough in vtec. this will cost you in the 800-1300 range depending on if you buy brand new/used etc. it is a very nice upgrade from the stock exhaust. but if you have the money i personally think you should get the j's racing 60RS. it sounds amazing. this is a quote from someone who has tried both rm01a and 60RS that is.. (it's vtecmachine):
"I tried a few exhausts on the DC2 (Stock, BuddyClub Spec III, RM01A, Spoon N1 and J's Racing Ti 60RS). The J's exhaust flowed the best, and sounded the best, the Spoon was the second best. The rest I didn't like - in terms of response and mid range power." - note that all of the exhausts he's tried a renowned brands.

also make sure to get a hondata as mentioned above or a power FC and get it tuned properly to get the most out of your mods..
i personally have toda header, mugen intake, RM01A, power FC and the last owner who dynoed it got 130kw atw. quite good for na imho considering it's all bolt on parts.

also when you said upgrades for your car, did you just want more power? i mean intake/header/exhaust/ecu +tune is pretty much all you can do without opening up the engine as far as i know - please correct me.

i would personally focus more on handling mods like coilovers etc.. at the end of the day its up to you and what you want to improve in your car, but dc2r aren't exactly famous for being fast(and like most na cars they're known to need a lot of work to be able to go ALOt faster) so why not improve something that the car was designed to do best?

of course if you have a lot money to play with, do both.

Yea well I was looking into buddyclub coil overs but then apparently you lose slot of ride comfort and driving on bloody parramatta road every day is sort of a pain in my ass already.. So that's why I thought I'd do intake n exhaust,ecu first and then do coil overs but if you guys reccomend coil overs first then i guess I will do that I mean I'm happy with how my vtec sounds now with this intake so yea.. What you mean by braking mods like braided break lines and drill n slotted discs??

I'd go with the toda header as it is a 4-2-1 design which gives you power in mid to top end. If however, you want top end power only (such that you're be tracking more than daily) a 4-1 design is better as you'd be constantly on top end. As for intakes, injen CAI's offer good gain and sounds great on WOT however, a spoon cleaner is functional enough. Because of how the stock airpod is situated in the DC2Rs, that is on the drivers side (from memory), it's already far enough not to be affected by heat unlike the DC5R's.

For catbacks, since its going to be unopened and kept NA (i'm assuming), Fujitsubos and mugen twin loops are the way to go imo. They're nice on vtec but even better on daily driving and sneaking back home. Unless that is, you want everyone to know you're home then I'd suggest going for louder exhausts i.e. the J's Racing. There are other options too i.e. toda, buddyclub, apexi etc etc but really bang for your bucks, i'd recommend fujitsubo and mugen. Also cause they look nice :thumbsup:

It's not man. Go have a look at some stuff from best motoring, they make videos and what not. But have a look on youtube for some "VTEC Club" stuff. That's like a sub category to best motoring.

The Buddyclubs are among the softer coilovers out there imo, perfect for daily driving, I have them in my teg and just set them fairly soft (gf complains ride is too rough)

If theres a day that you want to run natio or track just adjust the damper and you're good to go :)

just putting this out there...best motoring will likely be comparing jdm dc5r to jdm dc2r, seeing as it is a japanese program... difference between audm dc2r and jdm dc2r is very little, difference between audm dc5r and jdm dc5r is a lot.
the general consensus is that the dc2r stock is slightly faster than the dc5r stock - audm to audm.
i personally have never tested this but believe it to be true.

to re-iterate what a few have said:
toda headers are extremely good - i would go so far as to say they are the best from the few tests i have seen.
fujitsubo and mugen exhausts are quieter than spoon or js racing exhausts. you will get power gains from the former however you will get more power gains from the latter. the difference is apparently quite large (test between mugen twin loop on a dc5 and some other exhaust on a dc5) however i am skeptical of this so decide based on whether you want loud, super fcking loud, or reasonably quiet.
aparently if you do all the bolt ons, with a tune, you could be looking at upwards of 125kw atw, which you will feel.

i'm not sure if you've said this but how long have you had it for? i mean, if you can afford to mod by all means go for it but i would be hoping that you are getting close to maxing out the potential of the car as it is doing whatever it is you are doing.
the reason i say this is i can understand you wanting more power. it takes very little time to get used to how quick the car is.
but i would only start playing around with the suspension and stuff if you are already using the current setup to it's max....just my opinion....otherwise it's probs a waste of money.

oh and one last thing, what tyres are you running? because that's a very nice upgrade imo. get some semi slicks. you'll be quicker 1/4 mile and quicker round the corners.

I myself have not tested this either, and reseaching I could not find a definitive test between the AUDM models, so I'll post some facts and you all can decide for yourselfs which one is fast to 100km per hour.

Power 147kW @ 7400rpm
Torque 192Nm @ 6000-6000rpm
Kerb Weight (kg) 1160
6-speed transmission

DC2R
Power 141kW @ 7900rpm
Torque 178Nm @ 6300-6300rpm

So who knows, maybe being 73kg lighter is enough to combat more power, more torque, and more gears.

Looks sexier any way.

But for the sake of being extremely technical and a desire to be right, the DC5R has a higher top speed :)

nah i wont be tracking it daily... probably wont be tracking it at all i mean with work and all i really got no time to do anything accept go to work come home and go to sleep haha! so yea a 4-2-1 would prob be best thing for me.. and ive got kuhmo KU36 tyres on the front and back.. good tyres from my opinion they grab traction straight away and handle pretty good at high speed and apparently they are street slicks im not too sure just what a friend of mine told me... yea i think ill leave the suspension until after i get a exhaust and ecu going on it.. im happy with the ride height and how it handles at the moment.. thanks heaps!
