maybe give caltex/bp/mobil fuel a shot rather than just shell and see how you go as well.

80% of peoples FDs on OH are really bad on petrol. crazy.
yeah my consumption aint too flash either, but i do like to hold my gears rather than have no power.
I think people have too high expectations about what the car's consumption should be.. It's a 1.8L petrol car, not a 1.5L or a diesel, and it's a fair bit heavier than a hatchback..
true true. great cars for what they are though.
wtf.. how do u do that with the fd2 lol.... have you done any engine/exhaust mods to it?
lol its not crazy, it is normal. i live in inner-city suburban areas, i drive in rural areas 1% of the time per year
yeah man cat-back exhaust and x-intake are the only engine mods...
but previously in stock form the car was still achieving more than 500km per tank.
I picked the car up from sydney and on the drive home from bankstown to sunshine (like 850km) my first tank did 670km when it ran out of bars (the worst experience of my life. 3am, no petrol stations in sight, no cars in sight, pitch black roads, raining heavily, no petrol reserve in the boot and NO F***ING IDEA WHEN THE CAR WAS GONNA DIE) but half the tank was unknown petrol quality from previous owner.
When I finally found a petrol station (the first thing I noted before getting out of the car was the 670km) I only managed to pump 44L! still have the receipt as a damn good memory. Epic.
wow ... **** you. so jealous =[... hahahah i get like 10L/100km zzz
when they run out of bars, only then does the fuel light come on, right? or at about 4 bars? anyway, its a 50L tank from the website, so you could possibly push the car as far as 900km on a tank based on 5.5L/100km highway driving!
Wind direction and strength, plus driving closer to 80km/h instead of 110km/h would be important though.
Light comes on with two bars. Currently on 372km with 5 bars left
