You can bend the metal with your hands, yeah it is rather thin, only 1mm thick but its still rigid/strong enough and not warp when your drive.
The clip with thread is from your big ugly stock bracket, which i took off and reused. The screw/bolt that holds the number plate to the stock bracket is screwed into that clip's thread. If you dont have it, you can always cable tie it tight as an alternative hehe.

Not the greatest photos. But its two bits of angle, pop riveted together. Used the stock number plates mount points.
i suggest to you have slim line number plates to make it sit in nicely :)
