I think its the VTEC engaging.. i rekon its the pod filter too, ive got a twin 2-1 pod filter and it makes a loud noise @ 3000rom 3500prm, could be a little vtec kick in.
It is the vtec first

thanks for the advice... i thought i was going crazy..... :0
is it wise to buy a vtec controller?
since it kick in a lil late?
nothing beats a H22a engine going..bahhhh...mine kicks in 5500 in a prelude VTIR
So the kick that VTEC gives isn't in fact from the cam's switching over, but the intake runners going from long to short?
Is this the same with all variable valve timing/lift cars like MIVEC and VVTi-L?
ahahaha H22a at 5.5k??
mine kicks at 5k.. u can hear it expecially in the exhaust note..*guys who heard my car, correct me if i am wrong :P*
does that make the B18c a diffrent engine compared to others.. with this intake runners and etc..?
Ken
When I drove VTEC prelude kick in was at 5500rpm...
Same with B16C VTEC
With my teggie.......first i hear my AEM V2 make this crazy gushing noise at about 5000 then at 5800 my Apexi GT Spec takes over and i cant hear nothing else after that......
Love driving through tunnels and dropping down to second to really enjoy it....
