Mostly I'm after a car that feels quality. I love the look of the integra but I could handle a Civic. I really want a VTiR what ever the case. My budget is about $16000.
97+. From what i know, VTi-R's were only 97-99 and from 2000 -> it was GSi and Type-RQuote:

hehehe
so much mis information
integra vtirs came out in 93 with one air bag
had a slight cosmetic change in 96 + dual airbags
98 on had major facelift
99 discontinued replaced by type R
I'm looking at selling mine soon. ;)
PM me if your interested.
the earliest build date you'll find is '93, but the newest compliance date i've seen is '94. i'm not sure if the rear spoiler was standard equipment or not. the service manual also says that '93-'95 model vtec integras come with an oil cooler. '96- does not. somehow i don't think this applies to aus delivered integras as i cannot see my oil cooler ;)
there was no cosmetic change in '96 (not sure about the rear spoiler), the major differencees being the dual airbags and a shift to obd2. '98 is where they changed the the headlights and front and rear bars (maybe a few other minor things too).
ginganggooly - the rear spoiler was standard on 93-95 VTi-R's. ;)
hey vti-2 why u looking to sell - u've got a sweeeet ride. What yr is yr teggy btw??? :D
I'm selling cause i want an EG! My Teg is a 93/94.
I have a vtir teg, and we also have a vtir civic.
Personally I would go the teg...unless you think you need a hatch to park it in smaller places....
there really isn't that much difference in weight and the vtec in the teg is more refined...ie...
its a nice cruisy car.
with the civic...its more all or nothing...and not much happens before vtec cuts in....
you have to revv it quite a bit more to get it going.
