only the 2 front bolts (closer to the front of the car) are bolted down. the other bolts are with the spacers on the stud and sits on top of the hole to prevent water from getting in

what size washers? 1/4''? and stupid question but does doing this reduces the clearance when you open the hatch/boot?
Use what ever washers, doesn't even need to be washer. I just threw on some bolts over it then put the original bolts over it.Quote:
