if your shifter is wonky and moves freely even if your in gears...then your shifter rod locking pin is prob gone mate. check and see if you still have the pin there.

those things are bitches to remove (hence they are name the bitch pin). hard to think it would come loose, as they are hardened steel and very tight. cant imagine what would of happened to it to make it come out from everyday driving.
like i said mine was in that Uni Joint next to it, my bitch pin was uber tight. but the Uni joint was worne
Still vote for engine mounts as every Honda has ****ed engine mounts anyway. If you do replace them and its not the cause it won't hurt because they will need replacing regardless. Short shifter is for noobs, don't buy one. Shifter bushings increase the feel but it's not likely that's the problem if moving on bumpy roads.
Got Yonas to inspect, when I went to pick up my headers. Ended up buying hardrace shifter bushings off him as cbf to travel out to blacktown to see the other trader. Ill install in the coming week and get back to you guys. Its for the em1. Thanks for your help

is it just loose feeling up n down? or when in gears there is enough slop to think u were in neutral?
Slops just like of the gear was in neutral
mine did it alot and the bushings didnt help me one bit, and were nothing short of disappointing actually, but while ur under there putting the bushings in check the uni joint, smallest amount of movement can cause quite the amount of play.
yeh i hear ya ...they are and should be super nasiantight.
though ive seen people use a 10/12mm nut and bolts as an interim ..but still had the loose feeling as the interconnecting joints of the shifter rod as still moving as it was not a tight fitment like those "bitch pins" do :)
though there could be other culprits like shifter bushings like what others have already said ...
i highly doubt its an engine mount...becoz if it was it would rattle, vibrate like a mofo and u will experience when going into gears that its not a smooth transition but rather feels like its scrubbing or hitting something AND visibly see that the shifter is not leveled. (slanting physically).
Just Reporting back,
Installed Hard Race Bushings + OEM Shift Boot + Shunk 2 Knob didn't do the shifter as I found a BWR Short Shifter in my car (probs the previous owner did it and never told me about it)
And OMG if you have $45 bucks and 30 minutes to spare. Highly recommend!
No more play in the shift knob. No more annoying vibrating boot. Very Smooth and easy to shift.
Sprinted drive last nigh, took a corner near redline 2nd gear at entry of corner, dropped to approx 6.5to 6.8k rpm, shifted it into 1st. Yes thats right 1st on ~8k rpm and pulled away hard all the way to ~9k rpm.
Very worth while and bang for buck mod! All can be done 30 Minutes! Including jacking your car up and just work around the exhaust with the socket extending tool.

I wish i had a s2k, was in the market last month. But just not willing to fork out 30k for a car that's old as my little brother. Just 7k away from purchasing a Town House in an area I like, didn't want to pass the chance (If you lived in sydney, you would understand)
I have a haltech I believe, Its fuel cut off is at 9k RPM, Or maybe just needles are bent. All i know it doesn't bounce till needle hits 9k RPM
