transplant will cost roughly $2k - $2.5k for front cut
500-900 to pull engine out and back in (depending on ur mechanic)
300-700 for new clutch system (if needed and recommended to replace)
roughly $500 to do wiring by professional $0 if u do it by urself
Oils, coolant, and rest of shit bout $200
If u don't get full headers ie. top half and down pipes on front cut which i doubt u'll do u'll have to use ur original down pipe and make new flanges for the h22a headers.
Thats about it.
If u do it all ur self ur just looking at buying the front cut, oils and clutch.
Cheers.

hey i forgot one thing.
Try not to go to a workshop!
Its cheaper if u go to ur mechanic

thanks heaps chu85, that gives me a better idea of how much it is goin to set me back cause the mechanics wanted like $7000++ to do the total transplant.
Also chu85 did u replace all the belts in the car like when they do the 100,000km service on the h22a.
Hard to find the front cut in melb, and also any recommendations on what brakes to use on the car if i go ahead with either conversion, scared cant stop already have seen 1 of my frends car that was destroyed cause did a conversion but didnt do the brakes on the car.
Thanks for all the comments guy n guls.
We should try come up with a thread bout how to do a h22a conversion into a accord or any1 got good websites.
Sori for the long post.

just keep ur brakes as they are. get some good pads or even get some dba's. They're pretty cheap and ther're australian.
Ur car is a little more difficult to transplant cos its and obd2 gen. Just get on the net and order a obd2 to obd1 wiring harness (thats if u find a obd1 frontcut). U have to get one from the states but it'll cost as much as an auto electrician to wire it up for u.
If u want to read up on the transplant go to www.h22a.org
Cheers.

thanks heaps for all ur help chu85..
i will have a read and if anymore question then i guess i will post them n tell u guys wot is goin on with the car...

However it's illegal to put an OBD1 engine into his car, according to the ADR's when transplanting an engine you must have at least the same emission controls systems that were in the car originally which means an OBD2 front cut is a must.
Besides which if you get a front cut you should get all the necessary harnesses and the ECU

emissions in qld?
not a clue!
