dam, i didnt know they were THAT expensive... wow
can you get after market fogs ?
why are they so expensive anyway? its just 2 little lights with a switch...
How many people find the Euro fogs useful? I have the standard but also a Euro R Kit that came with fog lights (but no harness). I will definately install the fogs but tossing up whether I will wire it up. The reason I am unsure is the harness kit costs about $150.
Are the fogs more to "be seen" rather than "to see" - if you know what I mean?
The other thing is in Melbourne the cops are anal about using fog or driving lights unless it is foggy. So the times when I can lawfully use them are limited...
What do you think? I am erring on wiring them up - but maybe they are just for show. Opinions please.
yfin, I'd say just install it if you already have the fogs.
Here in NSW, it's just as bad about booking people using fogs at the wrong time. But having said that, first, it definitely looks better with fogs and secondly which is the main point, when there is fog, you can use it, and when you don't have it you will ask yourself how come you didn't install it. And also, you can also use it when it rains.
Have a good think about it.
Well here is my example.
Reason why i didnt buy a Lux is because i hate leather seats and after 2 BMWS am sick on sunroofs, so it was pointless to buy a LUX.
I bought OM fog lights and put them on, IMO they make the car look much better.
I just got a set of JDM ones installed by a mate of mine a few days ago.
Personally, I've always liked the "look" of fogs but couldn't really justify the $985 to buy them from Honda dealer and have them installed. The set I purchased was from ozhonda member for $300 then a mate of mine who works at a car dealership installed them for me for free coz I gave him a pair of new kicks (Don't ask I have heaps jus sitting in my closet :D )
What swayed my decision to install the fogs was the fact I'm gonna put 6000k HIDS on my euro and when it rained I wanted to be sure that I wa able to see the road properly and also that I could be seen.
I have to agree that they look great but it left me wondering when the hell am I gonna use these bloody things coz it get's foggy in my area like once or twice a friggen year lol. Come to think of it, it doesn't rain all that often in Syds either so go figure. I sure as hell don't wanna get booked by some power tripping cop because I have them on in fogless conditions.
You have bought the fogs already yfin so IMO you should wire them up just in case you need them.
The fog lights are completly and utterly useless, but they look good and give you some light on the sides. Im pretty sure its because the regs (or lack of them) that we have here regarding foglights, if you look at the NZ Euro or the TSX u will see that the lights are actually yellow which are most effective but extreemly ugly.Quote:

I sorta agree to that because you get fined if you use them in a normal night.Quote:

Also, the dumb thing was that, there was lots of cars that had foglights turned on passing by and on the oncoming direction.
Agreed...Honda is such a friggen rip off!Quote:

Are there any other reasons or conditions that you can use you fogs other than fog & rain? It's just that I've seen so many people with foglights on at nightime when it's clear skies. Somelights they don't even look like foglights because the lighting looks the same as the headlights if you know what I mean?
Did you get any demirt points taken off.Quote:

Yes, lights as in low beam, not high beam or fogs.Quote:
