Not going to happen - the federal govt is changing the rules again :( Under 15 years rule is going to be restricted to pre '89 and SEVs looks to take a hammering too.Quote:

SO??!?!?!?!?!? the CTR has bugger all nothing to do with 15year rule, and the SEVS legislation isn't changing at all.Quote:

if you can't (because its not 15 yrs old) then how do you explain all the R34s on the road? surely they are not 15 yrs old..........
i am suspecting that there are 2 different issues - the 15 yr thing and the personal import thing?
McChook: If you can get it approved under SEVs then good luck to you, but the word I had from an importer is that the fed govt is revising all import laws again. Hence my use of the changes to the 15 year rulings to illustrate the fact that they don't want imports here.
7th Gen: R34s have been approved under the SEVs legislation, CTRs currently are not
EP1 CTR can be imported under SEVS. Someone has to put it in an import magazine, that would be a good start, then I have an argument that people are interested. It is more than fitting in any of the SEVS catagories, including power:weight ratios, body shape not offered, Highest Performance Variant....
I believe the only problem I would encounter is Honda Australia. They would fight the inclusion more than toyota ever did... and Toyota Australia sucessfully stalled the JZX series for 7 years.
YES, the 15 year old rule is looking likely to change, but NOTHING has been passed yet. NO SEVS is not changing, which does not effect the inclusion and import of an EP1 CTR
