I can never get lower than 6L/100km if i go faster than 100km/h. But, if I sit on 100km/h I get the quoted 5.2L/100km, sometimes more (5.4), sometimes less (5.0!), depending on the hills, traffic, etc.Quote:

.. when u look at da tripe computer ... when i have full tank it says 16lt/100km .. and if im on half or if i drive alot with out stoping the lowest i get is 7.9 i think .. so do u guys think its something wrong with da engine ? this is not a thread all about fuel Consumption im trying to trouble shoot my car ... so yeah i never seen it display less then 8lt pretty much
Your's CVT ??? Depending on how hard you drive the car.. Do you go above 3000rpm all the time? Short distance driving? etc..Quote:

If I use the Sport Shift mode and constandly above 3500rpm and short distance driving.. It will go up to 7.8 - 8.0L / 100km.

Try different brand of fuel and use premium unleaded. Comparing Shell Optimax and BP Ultimate, my Vti auto runs better on Ultimate with full tank always exceed 550km.
A trick that I learned from vtec.net is to use medium throttle to accelerate till your desired speed and then slowly lift your right foot to light throttle (almost like not stepping :D ). The speed will maintain and the rpm will be about 1500 to 2000 rpm depending on your speed.
By using the above method, my trip computer always read between 5.5 to 6.5. This is all done in suburbs driving + highway where the maximum speed I can go is 70km/h. However, when I starts travelling in higher speed e.g 100km/h in freeway, the consumption is higher.

The fuel light usually comes on around 430km, and I always fill it up when the light comes on, so I don't know whats the limit that the jazz can go.....What the other guys achieve are very impressive...:thumbsup:

It all really depends how u drive it...my average is around 7.6 and this after mods to the car, like exhaust and air filter...and mine is manual who consumes more fuel then auto... so yea... it depends how u drive it during ur tank of fuel...
if i am always pumping my car.. it usually goes up to 8.0+
Hmm for comparison, been driving my brother Getz abit lately and I get around 550-600kms on a supposedly 35L tank.
I drive a 1.5 manual, almost all country highway driving. Fuel consumption on BP premium unleaded is a reliable 5.6l/100km.
Rant: What was Honda thinking when they geared the manual so short compared to the automatic? My wife's 1.3 automatic is much more pleasant to drive on highway trips, the engine running much slower and quieter.

When I coolected my Fit back then in Nov 03, my 1st tank lasted me for abt 1200km! Went for my 1st 1000km servicing, with 1/4 tank of petrol left! That really "Wow-ed!!" me.. However, as time went on, my FC slowly dropped.. Dropped to 800+, 700+, then 600+ km per tank (approx. 34 litres)..
Now, I'm averaging abt 480km to 550km per tank of petrol.. :)
BTW, I'm using either Caltex or Mobil fuel. :)
