Nope...On a D16Y1, I regularly got over 500km per full tank, and that includes mad Vtec thrashing around. It was a completely stock engine with 200,000km on the clock.Quote:

Well why don't you put the car back to the same oil and see if the fuel consumption is any better. Synthic oils are meant to reduce friction and increase milage. I don't think this would cause you to use more fuel. Unless you are ripping every time you take off.
I know if i keep my engaged in Vtec all the time it certainly drinks fuel. On the hwy i got 600km on a tank, generally get about 450 - 500km per tank in my ek4
