Just do it... there is not one project that i have seen come in under budget.. they all go over and so will this one.. H22 is not impossible swap.. but if u have read that it has been done in the states, then u have also read on how good the results are.. h22 in a dc is alot easier then in a da9 .. anyways if u serious PM me
-
yeh i am expecting it to fall over budget. im making my limit $7000. hopefully it wont go over that lol
-
i set mine at 6 i finished at 10..
u need to account for a few things like clutch.. cvs and shafts, water pump, oil pump, timing belt set, cost of wiring (or if doing urself equipment unless u have already), exhaust (getting a exhaust shop to weld up flanges to meet the h22 to ur pre-exisitng, lubricants, spark plugs, any damaged or missing parts from front cut, power steering line re-done.. (thats if the mounts will accomodate it), i had to get custom fuel line as the fuel rail line is on other side to b18a (or get an inline filter.. ) and to register this thing is a whole different story.. i dont have a/c, and had to get my front crossmember modfied as in vic the vass engineer required all 4 mounts on vehicle. fr33k knows what i went through to get mine finished..

u mite wana consider brake upgrades and all that shit aswell, no use having that much power if u cant stop once u get going
-
what did u do to ur car aus91integra????
-
-
i put a h22 in the LS. extractors and exhaust.. thats about it.. still saving up for hondata

H22 is a great engine conversion, and also agreat engine, have a look at the skunk 2 range of cams, there perform very well in these engines if you want a little more power out of them.
Sounds like a good project thow ;) well done good to see you spent the time and did things correctly like new pumps and belts, its these things I always tell clients about and there like oh do I have 2 replace that.. n its like dur of course you do !!!

James my phone conversation with you last time .. I still cant find the dyno graphs of h22 skunk2 cams on your site..
cheers

u also have to account for breaking axles ;)

Are you doing the conversion yourself?
If yes than it can be done for under 6K
I did a h22a into EG swap myself.Mine consisted of Hasport mounts,Hasport driveshafts,2.5inch mandrel bent exhaust,highflow cat,muffler,aftermarket clutch,custom built radiator,davies craig fan,all gaskets and seals replaced,water pump ect,engineered on the road i totalled at $5600.
Now suspension and Brakes is hard to estimate,it all depends on how you want your car to handle and brake.I spent another 3.5K in that department. And yes braking outer cv's is a problem ive had,id recommend either using the driveshaftshop.com shafts or getting the Hasport shafts like myself and swapping the outer cv's for civic or intergra outer cvs,as the Hasport cv ball retainer is very thin compared to the standard outers and thats where i broke mine both times.
It honestly isnt that hard to do a conversion,if your not too sure about the wiring then id leave that to someone else.I retained my standard civic loom and adapted that to the H22A.
Best of luck to you.
