after intake and exhaust, you should "feel" it more
also our engine is the i-Vtec, so it's dependent on how much you depress on the throttle too
i used to be able to feel it, but now i think my butt-dyno has gotten used to it..
with a pod, i still couldnt feel it, but i sure as hell could hear it.. and i noticed that there is a *slight* pull after 5500rpm.

there are two kinds of vtec out there i think, the firstis in standardintegras and suck and it changes cam timing at about 300rpm, so the idle is not affected. the second is VTEC with lift which is fitted in all Type R engines where the cams and timing actually change giving you the VTEC ruch at high RPM.
it changes at 2,200rpm not 300rpm
