Is the type r entire front bar one piece or is it a stock ek bumper with a lip attatched to the bottom of it. My 96 Ek 1 bumper has little plastic strips that wrap around the sides witch look different to that silver car shown above, which is what i want mine to look like.

I have a set of CTR Brand new front and rear lip for Hatch sitting here...if interested pm me about it

dont worry about the plastic strips, coupes dont have it anyway,..but use the same lip

Ok, But How come on all these forums i see heaps of Ek Hatches with out those plastic strips like on club Ek. It looks heaps better

96-98 Civic Hatches all have plastic strips on the front and back bumper
96-98 Civic Coupe don't have the plastic strips

If you don't like the plastic strips at the front then replace your front bar with a civic coupe (96-98) front bar.

What About the rear bar ? Could i use a 98 - 00 one off a hatch, Would it fit ?

yep just get a rear bar from a 99-00 (facelift version) hatch :thumbsup:

The reason you don’t see those plastic strips on US cars is because the 96-98 models (coupes, hatches and sedans) didn’t get front bars with the protector strips as standard. In the US the protector strip bumpers are actually sort after because of the JDMness :rolleyes:

Ok Cool, thanks for that i think i will go with the new bars without the plastic strips seeing as it will look more like a type r when the lips are on. :D
