a manualised auto would be tuff but i do have 2 watch my funds a bit. Ive also checked the ratios on a vtir box and they have similar ratios to a type r box. Ive heard that you can strengthen the components inside the box by some sort of tensile strength treatment. Does anyone know of someone goin manualised auto in a b18 box?
and the reasons are? can you explain?Quote:

I say get either a vtir box or itr box.
Im not a tech head mate, a few of my friends run liberty's wrx's and a few old school muscle cars, they all managed to chew threw any manual setup they could get their hands on, without spending in excess of $6000 odd dollars for an entry level pro box.Quote:

As far as Honda specific reasons go, im no expert, but i cant see even an itr box holding on a turbo setup, there is simply too much stress going through a box that was designed for a moderately horsepowered car.
Again, all things being said, i am no expert.
Can't really comapre it to other manufacturers bennyBear.
Online performance were running a stock 5 speed Prelude manual box in their 9 second car.
prelude box sounds good but obviously it doesnt fit my motor so where back 2 square 1. doh
no no what I meant was that stock boxes ARE strong.
yeh. get a nicer clutch. stop driving so hard. honda box's are strong.
depends how far you want to go, if you're a stripper then you could even go a dog box, a bitch to drive daily, but it takes a bit off your times as well.
i didnt turbocharge it to drive like a granny. I understand what ya all sayin but honestly honda integra boxes aint that strong. I blew 1 with my n/a gsi aswell.
Im with the guys that say honda boxes' are strong. I think i read in 'Zoom' that some guys running 10s use stock gearboxes.
