6 small hatches were raced on tsukuba circuit. They were: Swift Sport, Colt ralliart, Fit 1.5S (close to jazz vtis), Lupo GTi, Citroen C2 and Swift Sport S1.
Battle result was:
1st Swift S1
2nd Lupo Gti
3rd Swift Sport
4th Fit 1.5S
5th C2
6th Colt Ralliart (Turbo)
Based on this result i would say Jazz is a more balanced car than Colt. The Colt Ralliart was faster than C2 on the straightaway but on corners, it's very poor. The CVT on the Colt is probably not the best either since at the beginning of the race, the driver (Kinoshita) was experiencing difficulty shifting up and it lacked response.
More over, the guys that designed the A class were also the designers for the new mitsubishi colt. The colt turbo is infact already out but no signs of mitsubishi bringing them in. WOuld love to try that turbo out if it came. As for the Yaris, the only thing i dun like about Toyota Australia is that they fitted the same old engine from the previous generation to the new Yaris. And also it's body kit package, if you have seen the Japanese version, you'll be amazed how blunt the Australian one look like. All in all still all for jazz mate.... Looks amazing, drives amazing...
what issue of the best motoring is that? If you don't mind me telling.. I want to see that video..
Might sound a bit stupid.. what's the different between Suzuki S1 and Sports..
I know the Suzuki Swift Sport is the one below (which is due to be release in Australia next year.. ) but have no idea what is S1.. HEHEHE!!

I know Lupo is actually Polo here..
The Australian Yaris looks the same as the Japanese Vitz. Jazz's look is getting dated. I like the space and practicality as well as the ability of the CVT tranny to keep it at peak power RPM by using S mode, but it does look oldish.
i remember reading somewhere that there might be a suzuki swift with the 1.8l out of the ignis sports, 86kw or something.
What im looking forward to is the polo gti coming out next year with a price of around 26,000 + onroads i think, this got the previous model golf gti's 1.8l turbo 110kw engine, this engine got heaps of aftermarket tuning parts
That's right. If I am correct, the engine is straight out of a Audi A4 1.8T hence the aftermarket world expands.Quote:
