Timing Belt

oem belt will cost you about 50 bucks.

most decent mechanics should be ok to change it. but I have seen lots of ocations where they have got it wrong. honda timming belts are realy not that hard (espetially SOHC ). you just need to understand what your doing.

LOL I didnt change my timing belt until after 200,000km, and I thrashed the sh1te out of the engine... guess I was lucky eh?
The belt didnt really have any cracks - just some minor surface fractures. It looked ok suprisingly.

Anyhoo, yeah go for OEM for the critical parts such as the Timing belt. My friend bought a non-OEM one, it snapped after only 25000km!!! u get what u pay for ;)

Hey buddy, if you do get a mechanic with a lack of experience on hondas to do this belt swap, be sure to tell them to make sure they align the belt up to the timing marks and not the TDC marks, it will put the belt out as it did mine otherwise.. will cause you pain, and maybe a shorter engine life!!!

Other than this it should be similar to swapping timing belts other makes i think.

did u have to rebuilt the motor afterwards? or u put another engine in?

im due to mine as well nearly 97Ks but yea im just wondring ... 9k rpm thats with or without stock
