well i got guys where i used to work who could do it for free (steel fabrication factory) so i guess im all good
in that case go for it mate :) make sure you use some decent bolts, if you shear the bolt off it wont be fun to fix
all you need is 4threadded rods, 8 washers and 4 nuts... find the two holes that have little black plugs in them behind the strut bolts, and bolt them in by clamping the rod together between two nuts and washers...
easy.
the dc2r's have a nut welded to the bottom outside of the hole, and a high tensile bolt goes straight into it with a 'locking' nut that clamps it down from the top.
if you want to get tedious, weld the nut on the bottom of the hole (like the type r), or just use the bolt trick (mentioned above)
my opinion is the best handeling upgrade is definatly a bigger stiffer sway bar for the rear underside of the car. It will stop most of the body roll, which will stop you from hanging the arse out!!!
-the front strut bar DOES help. especially in the dc4.
oh, and if you sheer a bolt (if you dont use high tensile rod) you can drill and tap them out quite easy.
