Head to head grip levels, are RE010's better than ES100's? I've heard that GIII's are not as good as the RE101's.
The DC2R has a rare tyre size (195x55 R15) and i don't know of any high performance tyre made in this size, thus we dont have much choice.
If i'm looking for pure grip mainly in the dry, for dry road (less than 150km per week) and a track days, what's the best way to go? Stay with RE101's or move to something else? Recommendations?

Have a look at the kumho ecsta range, very good tyres. Not so popular but you wont be disappointed. My friend sells wheels and tyres and he has tried many different brands, and he said he would recommend kumho's over bridgestone.
Hes currenty trying out nexen and apparently they a fairly decent. But if you want top stuff then yoko ad07s would be the option even tho it costs 200+ for 15s :O

anyway, i've driven both gIII's and currently have the re010's in that stock size on my ctr and i love them. have had no experience with the yokos, but these re010s are surely a better tyre then the GIIIs, but not as sticky as the re711s (older dc2r tyre).
in the end, if you are only gonna use them for street, any decent sports tyre will do. it's like buying anything else... pay for wot u need, and set yourself a budget. in the yoko range, also consider the c.drives and the new a.drives. the BS GIII's are also a decent tyre, can't go wrong there i reckon.
Brigestone RE01 is old model, new one is RE01R :p
Yokohama ES100 is not good as RE01R, they r different lvl, if u wanna compare with RE01R, u should try advan AD07
Highly recommand anything with the word "POTENZA" in front of it.
Used Dunlop 3000A, Kumho's, Goodyear F1's;
None compare to a Potenza G3!
Track- Recommend RE55S!
Im on to my third set of potenzas and for street tyres they are excellent. I would recommend them to anyone.
RE-010 are an awesome tyre, but it doesn't mean its the best bang for buck...I would suggest you go for the Yoko's as a good compromise and something that performs well and doesn't cost as much...
Have you give thought to other brands? Say Toyo T1R?
toyo r1r & t1r, yokohama advan ad07, bridgestone potenza re01r & GIII, falken azenis rt215, dunlop direzza sport z1 & dz101 ... they r good street tyre
but they r not cheap ... around $180 ~ $300+ depends on size
can anyone tell me y, some of the tyre r not aviable in australia?? etc. toyo r1r, re01r ...
