If you have been in an S2000, you do the same process to start the car. Put the key in, turn to "on", and then press the start button. So this DIY makes your prelude exactly the same. Yes.. it's for wank factor.Quote:

yeah mounting it near the key would of been better, ( like the S2000 ) but there is nowhere to put it on a Prelude on that side.
you have the option to disable the factory start signal from the key, this is described in the DIY on how to do it. you can have both if you wish.
my comment earlier man was why have the engine start down there when u can replace ur current ignition barrel with just the button looks more pro that way

Damn u ECU-MAN,was just eyeballin my broken starter wire yesterday after i ripped the crappy immob out that came with car,and talked myself out of puttin a stealth start button under dash,coz i got to much else to do.
Now i want a visual start button.

its not my prelude preludacris, but your right its a very nice ride.
as for the 4th Gen, the schematic will work on any car, the colour code is ment for a 5th gen but you will find its a Honda standard, just test with a test light before you commit to a particular wire.
