apparently (and in my own experience) smaller filters increase oil pressure and oil pressure consistency...

i went from:
a Ht=75mm Dia=84mm size oil filter:

and my oil pressure increased?
was this a coincidence?
if so, why did my oil pressure decrease after i went back to the original sized one?
