btw injen n aem cai, get injen even if it costs abit more as it's much less of a headache to install
running the K&N... seems to do the job nicely.
So basically you guys are saying that I should either get INJEN or ARC air box?
They are both quiet expensive.
So whats the verdict?
INJEN OOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRR ARC

Is there a way to create the sound of those other after market parts while using the original air box?
you can get a different sound by cutting the bottom of the stock airbox out and running some piping from the front bumper to it, and also change the panel filter to an aftermarket one such as K&N.
I'm using Apexi SRI it works fine!
sri is fine but response is not so great i heard and also it pointing the wrong way to recieve cold air even if it is piped to the pod to create the power u want.

get an injen u cant go wrong - unless u a newbie with installations (just said that coz it doesnt seem u know much)
dyno proven and it works - air is taken from the bottom of the bumper (the brake duct hole)
model we need for a AUSDC5R is SP-1477
http://www.jdmyard.com/jdmyard_2006/shop.html had some in stock recently
enjoy!
nah, I have researched it heaps already.
They are both proven power though the stats for the INJEN are for american condition. It is proven that you gain 20hp at the wheels.
I was just wondering overall price wise against gains (sound/power/quality/EPA) which would be better:
The ARC or the INJEN.
wait, i dont get it..
why get a CAI or SRI when you can upgrade the factory box..
they said just cut afew here and there and buy a better filter (mugen, spoon, trust, apexi etc..) and your set..
(ie: try to copy the mugen style) and you'll save $$$, the only tricky is to make a port tube for the cold air to the intake box and you can do that at a plastic retailer or just be creative..
wouldn't that have the same effect as the mugen ones..?
