well if you read MY POST you will see i was refering to the statement above mine :wave:

there is no way in hell a standard thai made hatchback will sell for more than 35k here.
and yes if we did import the R's from the UK the price would be ridiculously high. i work at a dealer and have been on the dealer principals back about it before the car was even released :)

Honda has to have something to fit into the booming hot hatch market in Australia, lets just hope it happens this time

Can't see them selling 500 a month, my old car was an Astra Turbo and they sold 500 in 18 months. Less competition back then, and although the hot hatch market will boom this year, by the time they release the car (even if they do), it will have to compete against the Mazda 3 MPS, VW Golf GTi, Ford Focus XR5 and HSV Astra VXR. Of course the Civic will be better, but too many people will get caught up in the Ford/Holden hype. If they bring the Civic here for around $40k though, I'd be very tempted.
