wat would be the better option to go for. performance wise. witch car would make it to the 400m first.
I'm not sure which one would be quicker, I know the DC5R is lighter than the DC5S. But the DC5S has more power than the DC5R. But the DC5R has an LSD and the DC5S doesn't.
In a straight line, the extra power is cancelled out by the weight. In the corners, the LSD lets the DC5R accelerate earlier. So if it is for commuting, the DC5S is better. If you are going to track it, then the DC5R is better.
0.01sec difference tested in one of the mags not so long ago with the shoout between dc5s, dc5r and dc2r. in a straight line thats not much.. prolly depending on driver any of the cars can win.. but these cars arent made for quick straight line speed..
difference between dc5s and dc5r increased exhaust and bore stroke i think..most likely different ecu...but the dc5s is about 70kg heavier.
This has been resolved in Speed Magazine already. The DC5S is a faster & more complete car..

I'm presuming your comparing the DCR2 & the DC5S? Because the DC5R has nothing over the DC5S...
how so? theyre very similar cars, just the dc5s is more redefined for daily use.. more torque.. doesnt mean the type R is crap.. still a very good car, has recaros, lsd, wing... like i said.. depends what look and what car you really want.. some prefer recaros to the leather seats.. some prefer the dc5r wing..
out of curiosity what do you drive?
After watching the vtec club update on the DC5R and the new 2005 DC5R, I think that our DC5S has the suspension geometry of the 2005 DC5R and could have the potential to handle better than the AUDM DC5R. If only the DC5S had an LSD....
7mm lower thats not much to go by though, still 4wd looking lol.. wondering though if the type S had an lsd, would it disrupt anything, balance or anything?
Are you sure you wanna stand by that comment?Quote:
