EuroBoy - have you checked the cabin temperature with a separate thermometer? If the cabin is at or above the temperature you set on the climate control, it would be normal for cool air to be coming from the vents. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious. :)
For the climate control to start pumping out warm air, two conditions have to be met - the cabin temp has to be below what you've set on the CC, and the engine has to have been running for long enough to warm up the coolant.
mine's started to blow out hot air around 24

Actually, I'd expect the CC to be blowing cool air after an hour - after that long, the cabin should well and truly be up to temperature. Do you get warm air at all in that period? It's been pretty cold in Melbourne over the last week or so, so after an hour, the cabin should be significantly warmer than outside. If it is, then the CC is probably working as it should.
I think what Adagio is referring to is calibration of the outside temp display in the dash, and not so much the CC system.
But at the end of the day, if you're still worried that your CC isn't working as it should, your dealer will be able to test it for you and give you a definitive answer.
Yes, have used the "heater without AC on" quite a bit over winter (2006 Std) and got noticeably warm air from it when I set the temperature at 24 or warmer. However I did get cool air when temperature was set at 26 & 27 the other day. It's only done this once so assumed it was a glitch.
Thing I keep in mind is that this is controlled by a sophisticated and complicated computer based system so occasional glitches are not unexpected. However if you have a persistent problem, and you do seem to have one, get it looked at. Would suggest you
1) Make sure it is doing it when you take it in (you never know !)
2) Show the dealer the fault.
That way it you are certain they know the problem and won't give you the brush off.
thanks for the info guys - i'm bringing it to the dealer this week for the 1k check and i'll ask them at what temp should hot air start blowing. i'll see what their answer is. ;)
what i noticed is that the temp difference between ur set temperature and the outside temperature needs to be at least 10C before u will notice warm air from the aircon vents.
for ur case, the outside temperature could be at 18C, you need to set the temperature at 29C, in order to feel some warm air.. you may feel some heat at anything less than 28C, but it won't be as noticeable.
Hold down auto and dual when you start your car. The right climate control temperature will flash "1" and "xx" where xx is the cabin temperature. Your aircon should blow out warm air when slightly above xx and hot air when much higher.Quote:

It depends on your cabin temperature too. Today, I had cold air blowing when I set the climate control to 29ºC.
Mine blows cool air at 27-28 and that's what I have my cc set to most of the time. I'm on the Goldie so outside temp is warmer if that makes any diff although I did think it's very odd as well. Dad's Adventura CC is generally set low 20's.
