the JDM F22B VTEC engine is a straigt bolt in into a AUDM CD5
use the factory POA ECU
change the spark plugs, timing belt and balance belt. adjust tappets
change rear main seal if its leaking
you will need to put the AUDM thermostat housing on the engine and the AUDM top hose housing. this way you will be able to run the original thermo fan temp sensors. leave the EGR installed but do not connect it. swap the top half of the intake manifold from your old engine.
its a very simple install. 5 to 6 hour Job
another issue has come up, i wanted to keep my current starter motor and tell the installer to take it off the old engine and put it on the new one, my current starter motor is basically new, the owner before me just changed it so i'd rather have that than the oem one that comes with the engine, i was told oem starter motors on the accords are nuggets.
so question is, are they hard to take off and put back on? what do you guys think i should do regarding the issue.
thanks
you can keep the starter motor
its a small thing to do while changing and engine and wont be a problem
it has to come off anyway
