alright this is wot i did when i wired up my neons under the feet bit in my dc4, i taped the wires to my boot lights, cos in dc4 the boot light comes on aswell when the door opens, -ve and +ve is already teher, no probs so far
yeah that's fine as well, but that just means running longer wires, and taking off more trims.Quote:

i didnt take off that much trims, cos its running together with my sub wires... so yea
lol confusing.
If you also want to add a switch to your light, then you simply add a second earth wire, one that is always connected to earth. The other earth wire of your switch goes to the door sensor so it only activates when the door is open.
a switch to turn the lights on any time?
or to turn em off even though the doors are open?
to get to the door light switch, you don't have to open the door trim
plus honda trims are a piece of piss to take off.
I'm guessing a switch so he can keep the new light lit even when the doors are closed.
Is it a Civic hatch or Sedan?
If the boot light in the EG lights up when the doors are open (I dont think my EG/EH sedan did that) then have a quick look at the colour code of the boot light wire, and look for the wire in the plastic tubing running thru the side next to the door, and tap into that.
WOW, this is getting to a different story! LOL
Sumamry : Installing Neons to be exactly on at the same time the cieling light turns on.. i am riding on a EG hatch..
Quick help : is the door sensors on the sides ground or + ?
If not where do i connect the + and the - so it turns on exactly how the cieling light is..
once its alwaiz on.. the neons are alwais on..
if its on door mode.. the neons turns on when door opens.
if its on off.l,, neons dont turn on!
wire from each side from memory is blue stripes on green and yellow on green I THINK! thats from the door sensors.. but it doesnt look like i got a + on it when i tried it.. didnt have a tester on me so couldnt tell!
In that case then the easiest way to do it is run your own wire straight from the positive terminal of the bulb in the roof, then down a B Pillar.
yeh very true..
i dont have time to take of the roof!
basically where do i find the wire for the positive end of the bulb !
You need to dislodge the roof light assembly to access the wires. Not sure exactly how its designed, but I imagine you need to flick off the clear plastic cover first, then unscrew a couple of screws so the assembly can drop down.
hmm>??? no no
i mean.. there has to be a wire somewhere else where it leads to besides taking the roof of.. i guess any1 got a diagram or a link to one which points th wiring diagram of the cieling light for a EG?
