one thing i've learnt is never skimp out on tyres.
wills man, safety first ;) u'll regret it when u understeer into a wall on a wet night.
Just get some mid-range tyres like Hankook or Firestone.
Only a lil bit more expensive, yet heaps more safer!
Nankangs are the worst tyre I've ever had. I had them on the back of my old EK Civic. I went around a corner one day and the back end lost traction and I slid across the wrong side of the road and into a Power pole.
I suggest you spend a little more and get some decent tyres. They will be so much safer.
Tyres are the only contact between you and the road besides your suspension, you shouldn't skim on tyres...
I will never buy Nankang or Ling Long tyres.
I bought a set of 17" wheel package and it came with Nankang NS2.
They tyres were so shit that I sold the wheels the second day!!
But then again, my previous tyres were Yokohama AVS V102 which are almost 3 times the price.
You do get what you pay for.
Look at Maxxis or Federal. Both simarly priced but much better quality.
nankang is a far superior tyre to linglong.
linglong are noisy and shake ya to bits whereas nangkang are quiet and handle ok. the ns2 is far better than the original ns1.
however both are quite soft compound tyres so cars with exessive camber tend to chew through them;)
Maxis for the win. good tyres i got them on my car there about 4-6 months old now.
still get good traction in the wet hardly understeers at all.
i dunno what nankang tyres u guys have or had... but i run nans on my track car... and on a lancer.. the tyres r absolutely awesome.. great traction because they have soft compound... but this also makes them wear out fast.
Ive never had a problem with them EVER.. ive never lost control or anything and i push all my cars :)
wtf r ling longs??? is that a serious tyre brand?
