I know the test you have done if you look on the top it will say “IM240” it’s a warm start emission test which is very basic. But simply put it mean’s nuffing in regards to the Australia Design rules and regulations, you can’t manufactory or certify products off a IM240 test. The fact my car is now ADR certified means I can resell everything on the car as a kit or “performance upgrade” and its considered legal, it also certifies things of less spec… ie same setup with a stock engine on low boost smaller injectors etc would also be automatically covered within the ADR rules.
In Victoria and the rest of Australia they don’t accept IM240 tests because there just to basic, I question why EPA NSW accepts them because al a IM240 test realy shows is the effectiveness of your cat, but yeah your lucky the process in NSW is a lot more easier than the rest of Australia.
Alan as for a price to FI your engine, anywhere rom $5,000.00 to $150,000.00 how far do you wanta go ?

What other emissions are tested i the testing you went through then James? From what i understand the testing Weq is talking about tests for all the important pollutants, so if your car passes that test and complies with EPA standards why wouldnt it be acceptable to the RTA? I cant understand the extra testing if you are trying to get an ECU itself tested for approval, but for an individual vehicle passing the basic test should be fine.
Hell, here a guy i know just had to supply A/F ratio readings to have his car pass through the RTA as acceptable, as we dont have an emissions testing station
Ahhk cool. So its to allow u resell products..
i meant wot tests would haf to be done or wot tests did u haf done and prices of tests
Weq, leave the smart ass shit out of it. We are all in the same game, we are all looking for performance hondas.
As for the tests, its fully ADR, if u get a canary for ur turbo, its an engineering thing that u also need for it. Its not a cheap test.
sorry if i came across like that. was also serioes accept the ps comment :P
so the BLKCRX turbo kits gonna be released soon??
Just like he does with Hondatas..?? sticks them in his GFs car, then sells it to someone else as a new computer..... thinking thy won;t notice??Quote:

Top news James.
I'm sure many of us here would find it difficult to comprehend the amount of effort, time and money involved in the process.
Never the less, it sounds like an awesome achievement.
Hope they sell like hotcakes james!
Nothing better than telling an officer your turbo kit is ADR complied!
