Well that was my setup, i ran for a couple of months. I have also installed 3 other greddy kits, and one custom kit which ran un-intercooled for a period of time. If you search around the internet you will find people who have run unintercooled so long, that the engine has outlasted the turbo or many turbos. Im not going to hold your hand.
The theory behind it is quite simple really.
An intercooler is nothing more then a cooling device. You original post said, and i quote:

I think you have missed the point I've been trying to make though. I've not once stated that running a car without an intercooler isn't possible, I know it is. What I'm trying to say is that for an extra $400-1000, you can take so much stress off your engine and increase your car's reliability 10 fold.
One place i learnt not to get info about turbo hondas is from here. Its mostly lies. Theres very few people on here i would listen too, one being weq. He isnt no e-mechanic, he been through it all, from the humble 5 psi greddy kit (which mind u is still FASTER and CHEAPER than a b16 conversion) to the 220 fwkw monster he just sold.
But the bastard still wont tell me what clutch to get

As some of the other posters in this thread have pointed out, I too would also like to know more information about turboed cars that dont run intercoolers, so any info. would be appreciated.

ofcourse not.. can get it on almost every US performance car store website.. or u can get it imported here from a performance shop but theyll charge u ur arm n ur leg..Quote:
