must b a diff type of lsd.. mayb they changed the new hondas to a diff type ? i dunno but the test works on mi ne.. coz i had it in the air at work on a hoist and put in drive and both wheels were turning.

I agree. In theory they should both spin the same way. (cant say iv ever tried on a fwd tho). They both run a pinnion and crown wheel and an lsd centre??Quote:

There are different types of LSD's and they work differently to each other. Yes they all have the same outcome and to their own degree.
As Aimre said and rightly so:
The spinning test will work with a Clutch Type LSD's. Spin the wheel and the other wheel will spin the same direction.
The spinning test will NOT work with a stock honda Helical Type LSD's. Spin the wheel and the other will not move.
They are different design therefore work/opperate their own way. :thumbsup:

It depends on the LSD used, not on drive type. It just so happends that FWD usually use the type that wont pass the "Spin a wheel test." Ie Integra with the helical LSD and pulsars with a Viscous one.Quote:

Glad we agree that RWD and FWD diffs work the same way. They both allow the inside and outside wheels to spin at different rates. How they do that is entirely and 100% independant of the drive train type as you can get pretty much all types of LSDs for both.
All in all, spin test sucks. Take your axels out and check it out the right way.
