now, you said he put a battery straight to it, and it didn't work, if it doesn't work straight from the battery, there is somethign wrong.
if it was the fuse, there wouldn't be a signal to the starter motor wire?

Well you see if the power isn't wired to the starter motor itself and you just chuck 12v to the solenoid (while grounded) it will just click and not do anything else...
If it's grounded and you give it 12v from the battery and you get absolutely nothing then the solenoid is buggered... Either faulty solenoid or personal installing it is retarded, good luck finding out which is which
hey guys i took my car to an auto electrician today and he said the starter motor was fine and checked the battery he said it was gone and i told him id b back tomorrow for one then i went sum where and tried to throw in a fresh battery and still nothing wtf is going on with my car lol much help would b appreciated

Check your ignition switch and ignition switch fuse..
Worth checking :P
Check your battery terminals and leads too..
yeah but, the ignition switch is working, becayse the signal is getting to the starter as he has stated.
but it's not cranking.
yeah the car jus dnt crank i got all power to lights and dash etc and all fuses are cool im dying here lol no vtec for 3 dayz now lol
dude, somethign is not right.
it;s either somethign isn't connect.
or the starter motor is ****ed.
if the starter motor ain't spinning, when it's supposed to, and everything is connect correctly, the motor has to be ****ed.
lol.
check the earths?
yeah i checked everything i checked the earths as well and i still got nothing cranking
Can you hear a 'click' when you turn the key to start?
This is what you do.
Take the starter motor out of the gearbox and try to crank it. If it the starter motor spins then yes, the starter motor is working.
Then put it bak in the gearbox and try to crank it. If it doenst crank then something is definitely wrong. Something must be stucked.
Do you have a multimeter? Check for power on the signal wire when cranking
Get a buddy to help you
Give that a go.
yea i heard a click and sounds like sumting is sparking but not gettN anywhere yeah the motor does spin and there is power im taking it to a sparkie 2morrow ill let you all know whats happenin
thanx guys hopefully its sumthing lil
So the motor is trying to start then?
In that case it's not the starter motor but something else
Get them to check for a spark from the distributor
