yeah i want it to be N/A ..dont like turbos that much
soo 2k wont get me anywhere ? coz my mechanic suggested that i do a engine rebuilt because my valves are worn -.-
how many ks your motor done???more likely its your valve seat or stemseals r worn....
its done 175 ks =]
it depends on how u looked after your engine do a comp test on the motor first and see wat psi it hits if its all ok just do a head service pnp and deck the head to bump the comp up ....if your gonna do a engine rebuild man 2000 isnt enough..... its gonna cost u around 2000 for the head service and pnp already....
To answer your question: fully rebuilt B18c + pnp average $3500-$8500
This is all dependant on what internals, valvetrain, who does the labour, etc.
Why would you want to pnp the B18c cylinder head though? those heads flow very well in stock form. I think you should consider component matching your setup. If your cylinder head needs rebuilt then just get the parts you need but increase the potential of the new head with better parts.
Silicon bronze or Beryllium copper Valve guides:
Swirl polished stainless flatface or nitrided flat faced valves:
B18c-R or H22 Lost motion assemblies:
Titanium retainers:
Oem seals:
3-7 angle valvejob:
Matched valvesprings to camshafts, I wouldn't recommend anything bigger than Pro 1's, and nothing smaller than CTR+'s:
? layer oem head gasket: depending on how much material is removed from the cyl to block surface area there are 3 layers to start with:
Arp head studs:
That is probably your 2G budget depending on where you get the labour done.
Just some food for thought:thumbsup:
i'd probably just go and get I/H/E and some suspension to make the car more fun to drive!
;) those things might make his car more fun to drive, however they wont better the condition of his engine which i dare to say judging by the disclosed wear @ 175,000 kms may possibly have worn valve guides or seals.....
