DOHC i-VTEC or DOHC VTEC better?

Civic Si has the DC5R engine. :)

No, the K-series does not have VTEC-E. There is only ONE type of VTEC in the K-series. The only difference is that the Accord, Integra Luxury and CRV's engine have VTEC only on the intake cam. The Euro, DC5R, DC5S, CTR have VTEC on both the intake and exhaust cams.

05 S2000 comes with Vtec and not i-Vtec... that tells u why Honda still prefer VTEC for performance car!!

lol thats because its still the same model for the s2000 there was nothing changed except for some minor things like start up engine etc. but everything else is still the same. changing engine will cost them a fortune. s2000 doesnt sell much compared to the other cars in honda. they sold about how many last year? it costs too much

the first 02-05 si civic and base rsx 02-06 did not have that engine they have the same engine as our 2l accords. theirs is just rated at 160hp.

and yes the k-series does have a system similar to vtec-e/vtec-II. and yes only vtec on the intake cam.

LOL, that's because it has the same engine as the 1999 S2000. The USA's 2.2L is a stroked version of the F20C. That's why it also uses DOHC VTEC.
